JD Beck is a 13 year old drum prodigy from Dallas, Texas. He began playing classical piano at age 5 and soon developed an interest in all things musical. At age 8 he began playing drums and guitar. Although he continues to play all instruments, the drums are his primary love. At age 11 he was discovered at a local jam session by Grammy winning producer Jamal Cantero ( Eryka Badu) aka Jah Born. He was invited to sit in with Jah Born's new project, The Beatitudes. He soon became the primary drummer and a well-known fixture in the Dallas music scene. In 2016 he was invited to join America's Got Talent semi-finalist, Kadie Lynn in her new country music project, Kadie Lynn and the Foundation. He is also involved in a project called The Drummies and will debut a new EP at South By Southwest in 2017. Over the years he has had the opportunity to sit in with some of the world's best musicians including members of Snarky Puppy, Ghost Note, and Eric McFadden. He has also had the opportunity to work with some of the world's greatest drummers including Thomas Lang, Brian Frasier Moore, Matt Garstka, Marco Minnemann, Robert "Sput" Searight, Rich Redmond, Stanton Moore, Mike Mitchell, and many more. He plays all musical styles from hip-hop to country and has recently become heavily involved with music production.
