Brian Brignac

Brian hails from a family with a long history of musicians. He is from south Louisiana just outside of New Orleans, and thus was exposed to an enormous variety of musical influences. Brian has been playing drums professionally since the age of 15 and has recorded and/or toured with artists such as Fats Domino, Sonny Landreth, Foy Vance, Bobby Charles, Jo-el Sonnier, The Spinners, Cindy Cashdollar, Wayne Toups, Chubby Carrier, Gregg Wright, The Williams Brothers, Melvin Taylor, C.J. Chenier and others. He has garnered a Grammy nomination with Sonny Landreth and has been nominated for multiple Dove awards with a band he co/founded, hipbootjoe. During his career, he has shared the bill with artists ranging from James Brown to Jeff Beck in venues all over the world, from the Grand Ol’ Opry in Nashville, Tennesee, to the Hibiya Theater in Tokyo, Japan. Brignac studied under the esteemed Dr. John Raush at Louisiana State University majoring in Music Education. Brian currently endorses Dream Cymbals, Aquarian Drumheads, Mojo Drums and Hart Dynamics.
