Born into a musical family, Brian Kops quickly latched onto the drums after studying classical piano. Brian has toured with artists such as Dream, Ken Reynolds, Kari Lynch Band, Travis Greene, Leon Timbo, Shepherd Church and Youth, KJ-52, George Moss, Revolution Frontline and the Nu Sound Band, Kenneth Henderson, Marcus Cole, Judy Jacobs, Greg Peacock, among others. He has also had the opportunity to share the stage with Steven Curtis Chapman, David Crowder Band, 10th Avenue North, Group 1 Crew, Pillar, and Fireflight.
Brian has also served as a teacher, mentor, and consultant to several aspiring musicians in North America and South Africa. He has had the opportunity to hold local and international drum clinics alongside musicians such as Scott Pellogrom, and Julius Schultz.
Brian’s biggest influences have been Dave Weckl, Steve Jordan, Steve Gadd, Jojo Mayer, Vinnie Colaiuta, Benny Greb, Carter Beauford (Dave Matthews Band), Derico Watson (Victor Wooten), Dominic Howard (Muse), Matthew McDonough (Mudvayne), John Otto (Limp Bizkit), Virgil Donati (Planet X), Travis Barker (Blink 182, Box Car Racer, +44), Rob Bourdon (Linkin Park), and Aaron Montgomery (Trapt).
Brian currently resides in Los Angeles, California working as a performer, clinician, and studio musician.
