About Hamish Dickinson

Hamish Dickinson is a UK-based independent and studio drummer specializing in rock and metal. He is best known for his work writing, recording, and performing with the UK post-rock band Redwood.

Hamish's Career

Hamish has been playing drums since early 2004. Finding his way into drumming through his local music scene he fell into his first long term project, Yearbook. An alternative rock outfit that found moderate success across the UK and EU touring with the likes of Lower Than Atlantis, Don Broco, Hawthorne Heights and numerous other bands in the scene. At the end of Yearbook's career Hamish found himself in demand as a session player for the likes of Deaf Havana, Decade and Homebound touring throughout Europe.

All the while Hamish continued to own and operate his own recording studio.
More recently Hamish has transitioned into more touring audio handling monitors for the likes of Limp Bizkit, Ice Nine Kills, The Midnight, X Ambassadors and many more. This hasn't stopped him playing drums. When he's not touring you can find him writing, recording and producing drums for many UK bands but most prolifically with Redwood.

"Dream make the best sounding cymbals to my ear by a country mile. The balance between both the brilliance and attack and the darker more complex undertones and decay is incredible. Not only that but the versatility of the entire range of cymbals is incredible. As someone who primarily works in the studio, having the ability to grab from a plethora of cymbals to achieve exactly the sound I'm after is such a plus for me.
They are the most musical sounding cymbals to me and I can cover most genres I play within super easily.

THANK YOU Dream!"
