About Jacob Polancich

Jacob Polancich is a diverse musician and educator based in southeastern Wisconsin whose work spans classical, jazz, experimental, and popular genres.


Jacob's Career

Jacob Polancich is a multi-instrumentalist performing as a percussionist, bassoonist, guitarist, and conductor, with an active career as a performer, recording artist, and educator. He regularly performs with the Ryan Meisel Quartet, the avant-garde duo Montauk Project, the progressive jazz trio Sincerely, Linus, and his solo singer-songwriter project Tables Turned, reflecting a deep commitment to creative collaboration and boundary-pushing performance. Alongside his artistic work, Jacob is in his 23rd year of teaching and 18th year as Director of Bands at Arrowhead Union High School, where he leads a nationally recognized instrumental music program known for its musical excellence and dedication to new music. He holds degrees in wind conducting and music education and has been honored with the Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship and the South Arts Jazz Road Tour Grant. Jacob is an endorser for Dream Cymbals and Pork Pie Drums.
