Ken Topham is the co-founder of the influential electroacoustic duo GIRAFFES? GIRAFFES! The band incorporates live phrase sampling and looping, along with other electronic elements, in their fun, dynamic, and accessible music. They have recorded several studio albums and toured internationally. Their album More Skin With Milk-Mouth (2007) is widely considered a quintessential contribution to the math rock genre. In 2018, the band performed on the main stage at ArcTanGent Festival in Somerset, England.

Ken has been commissioned to compose original works for acoustic instrumental ensembles as well as for electronic groups. He is a professor of instrumental, vocal, and electronic music performance, music composition, studio recording techniques, and music history, and has over two decades of experience teaching classes and private lessons and directing ensembles. He enjoys creating sound design, scoring, and editing audio for films and visual media, as well as multimedia studio production and performance.

"Being a Dream artist has unequivocally changed the way I approach the drum kit. I hit hard, play fast, heavy, and loud, but I also need cymbals that can cut through walls of amplification while giving me the freedom and nuance to shape every phrase from one moment to the next. Dream’s cymbals deliver both—the power and projection I need on stage, and the responsiveness that inspires me to explore new sonic textures in the studio. Having their support not only gives me the tools to push my playing further, but also the confidence to know that my sound will always stand out."
