Miguel's Career

Miguel Rosado is an independent music producer, drummer, and recording artist based in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico. His musical journey began at the age of 11, when he started playing drums and teaching himself through practice, live performances, music videos, and a deep curiosity for sound. From the beginning, he was drawn to creating original music rather than simply reproducing what he heard. At 14, he co-founded the independent band Alice True Colors, becoming part of Mexico’s indie music scene and gaining early experience in recording, touring, and developing a musical identity of his own.

Dream Cymbals became part of his sound during those formative years. His first Dream cymbal was a 17" Bliss Crash, which he chose for its distinctive character, expressive dynamics, and organic sound. Later, while working at Music Club, a music retailer in Mérida, he continued exploring the brand and acquired his 22" Vintage Bliss Crash Ride and 15" Bliss Hi-Hats. His appreciation for Dream goes beyond its products: he values the individuality, warmth, complexity, and musical freedom that its cymbals bring to a performance. For him, great sound is about character and feel as much as technical precision.

Today, Miguel works across independent music as a producer, session drummer, and recording artist. He is the permanent drummer for Rodrigo Leal and has contributed to projects by artists including Alice True Colors, Poux, Kafi, Jimena Inch, ElBobby, and Venado Meraki. He also worked as a recording assistant on Mon Laferte’s Femme Fatale, released by Sony Music in 2025. As a producer, he approaches music through instinct, experimentation, and collaboration, always searching for performances and sounds that feel alive, personal, and emotionally honest. Dream Cymbals remains closely aligned with that philosophy: musical instruments with a distinctive voice, built for players who value expression over convention.

"I’ve been playing Dream Cymbals since my early years as a drummer, and what has always drawn me to the brand is its individuality. The Bliss series, in particular, has a warmth, complexity, and organic character that I connect with deeply as both a drummer and a producer. I love cymbals that respond to touch, open up dynamically, and bring their own personality to the music instead of simply sitting on top of it.

My approach to music has always been about feel, instinct, and finding sounds that are honest and expressive. Dream fits naturally into that philosophy. These cymbals inspire me to play differently, listen more closely, and serve the music rather than follow conventions. They have been part of my sound for years, and I would be proud to represent a company whose instruments reflect the same values I pursue in my work."
