About Ryan Fowler

Nashville-based touring drummer, Ryan Fowler, has been called a "Swiss army knife musician" by others in the industry for his wide-array of applicable skills including band-leading, arranging, writing, producing, tour managing, content creation, track building, and more. While not on tour with ACM winner and Grammy nominated country artist, Hailey Whitters, Ryan is a co-producer at Tuneden Live and works as a performance consultant for various management companies and independent record labels.

Ryan's Career

From the moment Ryan Fowler graduated high school in St. Louis, Missouri, he knew he wanted to see where his adventurous — and admittedly naive — personality would take him. College became the perfect opportunity to set out on his own. After a year at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, the music faculty convinced him to trade in his Division I lacrosse stick for drumsticks and fully pursue a degree in music.

Years later, that degree now hangs above his home studio desk — not as a trophy, but as a reminder that success in music doesn’t come from a piece of paper. It comes from the ability to make tough choices and the discipline to work hard.

After graduation, Ryan remained eager to learn more about building a career in the music industry. As much as he loved Kentucky, he knew it wasn’t the place to make that dream a reality. Within two years, he left his studio, touring, and teaching gigs to take contracts as an orchestra drummer on cruise ships — an experience that sharpened his skills and deepened his passion. When the time felt right, he packed up everything he owned and moved to Nashville, knowing only one person in town.

Once there, Ryan was struck by the sheer level of talent that filled the city. If he’s learned anything, it’s that the music business isn’t meant for everyone — but everyone in it means business. With encouragement from new relationships and a willingness to take on any opportunity, Ryan soon found himself landing gigs he once thought were out of reach.

In the decade since, he has toured the world — from cramped mini Coopers to private jets — and performed everywhere from street corners to massive stadiums. Ryan has had the privilege of touring and recording with artists including Hailey Whitters, Drew Baldridge, Eric Paslay, Julia Cole, Trent Harmon, and many more. Music has taken him across an incredible spectrum of experiences, and through it all, humility has kept him grounded and hungry for what’s next.

"What I love about Dream Cymbals is their creativity. Each line has its own unique character. They all sound so different from each other, yet somehow they always blend beautifully. No matter what mix I put together, it just works. It’s like having a whole palette of colors where every shade compliments the next. Dream has this rare balance of originality and musicality that keeps me inspired every time I sit down to play."
