A gong with a distinct ascending glissando, Dream Cymbals Jin Ban Opera Gongs, also known as Bending-Up Gongs or Chinese Opera Gongs create an unmistakable sound when struck at the center. Excelling at developing the atmosphere, Jin Ban Gongs are instruments that can be used both in the orchestra and the yoga studio. In the orchestral setting, the ascending tones excel at creating whimsical transitions and effects, signaling growth or ascension. When used in sound baths, the attached string means the Jin Ban can be carried around the studio, creating immersive environments for the listener. Adding variety and having a shorter sustain than traditional Chau Gongs, Dream Cymbals Jin Ban Gongs offer a helping hand in lightening up the sounds of your gong collection. Mallet included, these gongs are available in Low, Medium, and High, ranging in 7”-9” diameters.
